How the IU works


In today's diary, we will discuss a point of particular importance for players, the interface. Needless to say, the interface is not the strong point of "market". Indeed, it is an aspect that interests me relatively little. Nevertheless, it is not possible to do without an interface in a game for the general public.

In the next update, a problem appeared. In the first version of the game, it was possible to create an interface from scratch in a very easy way. There was a limited number of possible interactions. Now, since it is possible to create mods, it is necessary to create a procedural interface.

This task was done while trying to keep the interface as close as possible to the original one. It was a success and I was able to take advantage of it to add some options:

  • a button to quit the game or go back to the title screen;
  • an automatic adaptation of the interface to the screen width;
  • a new option that will be the subject of a future diary.

Also, working on this update allowed me to test some new things. For example, viewing multiple markets on the same chart. This work allows me to prepare the ground to allow you to customize your interface as you wish. However, this option will only be implemented after the development of a backup mechanism.
